Earlier we celebrated Carters first birthday! It was a lot of fun and a much needed party right after helping to take care of the boys for nine days while Chris and Laura were in France. And to the surprise of the party guests and to the amazement of the nephews, two very special friends came to help celebrate...
The boys were enamored especially Harrison who just couldn't believe his eyes that Elmo and Grover were really at HIS house. Elmo and Grover took some time to talk with the boys and asked them about cake (you know the important stuff) before leading everyone in the 'Happy Birthday' song. Then unfortunately they had to fly away and get back to Sesame Street. I wish I had the video of this and I'll post it when I get it, but it was adorable!
Harrison made a big deal about watching Sesame Street the next day on TV, to make sure that they got back home okay :) He still brings up randomly in conversation the day that Elmo and Super Grover came to his house and tells Dane that its too bad that he and Jon missed them during the party...
What a great memory of a birthday! Harrison hopes that Elmo and Super Grover will have an encore visit when his birthday comes in March. Seeing everyone was great, the cake was super cute, and I have never met a 1 year old who hated cake so much, I don't even think he had a bite of it, pretty cute. We love our little nephews!

Man I wish Super Grover and Elmo could come and visit me on my birthday. That is a shame that Dane and Jon had to miss them... lol That is so adorable!
What a cute party. Elena would die if Elmo and Super grover came to her party. She loves them. How are you guys doing? Are you living in the SLC after all?
