Easter 2009

So this past year Chris & Laura graciously hosted the family easter events. We started out by dying eggs on Saturday. This year we dyed all sorts of eggs including football eggs, U of U eggs, a 'rotten' egg, and eggs for pretty much everyone in the family including the very cute wrigley egg. Ironically Natalee spilled the red dye everywhere right after finishing a lecture to everyone (especially Harrison) about being careful as to not spill the dye ;) . Harrison was most proud of his 'Utah' egg. And also happened to accidentally drop and crack open the 'Carter' egg. The next day we all came back to Chris and Laura's for a true easter feast and our traditional family egg hunt. Mona and Howie joined in the fun this year and we always love seeing them and cute little William! The food was amazing and it will be hard to out do next year. Howie and Mona also brought Harrison a cute little bowling set which quickly became a permanent facet of the backyard and we still play with to this day. The egg hunt was great, the old family rules still apply (Everyone must wear ridiculous bunny ears outside during the hunt, and you must find your easter basket before you can hunt for eggs) and the competition was fierce. Dane was the big winner but we all walked away with some yummy chocolate and little dough. Even Wriggles had his own little doggy egg hunt with dog treats and dental bones hidden inside. Thanks Chris and Laura for all of the fun, we love and appreciate you guys so much!!

I love the tradition of the ears! (we might adopt that one :) You do have a lot of catching up to do...maybe thats why you were up so late blogging :)!! Well, if you guys ever feel like making the trek, come up to our house and we can watch a movie in our theater room! It would be so fun to see you guys again!
