Wrigley's Graduation

Last Month our little dog child Wrigley graduated from Petsmart Obedience class. Although I would never ever ever recommend this type of obedience class for a smart breed of dog, it was still fun to see how excited our pooch would get every tuesday night.  Wrigley is a very fast learner and use to obey commands for the simple pleasure of pleasing us, and now as the class has taught him,  he is now primarily motivated by treats. Dang it. Well he had fun running around the store, scaring the birds, and trotting down the treat isle.  And as fate would have it, Wrigley ended up graduating first in his class... by default, none of the other dogs graduated.  He received a hideous First place ribbon dog toy which has since become his favorite toy and he struts around the house proudly with it.  Lame post I know, but we don't have kids :)

That was so not a lame post! It was so cute and I think it's adorable that he loves that ribbon toy so much! But then I see from the outside... ha! It was so cute it made my eyes water just a hair :) Good for Wrigley and for you guys! Ruger is good with Come, Sit, Down, and Leave it, Go pee, and staying right next to us without a leash on walks but we need get him going on more stuff (like controlling his barking at Brittany and Steven's dogs). Anyway congrats!

Thanks guys, we sure love him :). Kaleen, ruger is way too smart for obebedeince (sp?) just keep doing what your doing, that's how we originally taught wrigs and it worked so much better. The only real commands that he took out of that class was Leave It (if you drop food) or Take it (if he can have it) he learned sit, lay, stay, come, slow down, stay close, closer, etc before class. He use to not bark at other dogs but he picked up that bad habbit at doggy daycare. If u figure out how to get that habit to stop, let me know! We need a ruger, wrigley play date asap!

Graduation present? if he isn't neutered, how about a day of breeding? breeders are always looking for a good dog to help out, seriously. that's always fun.

ohhh.... That is so cute! :) He is such a good dog. :) You should be proud parents!
Our plans changed for this weekend... sadly enough the crib will not be ready so we are going to have to wait another 3 to 4 weeks for them to order another one in. :( That may be better for you guys anyway right? Then Danes family will be back home and you can for sure hang out.... right?? :)
Anyway we love and miss you guys! :)
